Tuberculum Sellae Meningioma

Abstract

|
In general, the meningiomas are histologically benign but successful removal of the tumors is not always feasible because of its location and relations with surrounding structures. Mortality rate often are up to 25%, when certain basally located tumors are treated surgically.
A rare case of tuberculum sellae meningioma is presented in which the tumor was adhesed with surrounding tissues and left optic nerve had been badly stretched by neoplasm. Total removal of the tumor was successful and recovery of vision of the left eye was complete.
